Summer Walker released Still Over It, a collection of break-up songs that are melancholy, empowering, and based on true events. I've noticed a lot of my friends getting into it, and I've noticed a lot of lyrics that resonate with me. Even my friends who have never been in a relationship are moved by the music.

Summer Walker finally released her long-awaited sophomore album, Still Over It, after teasing us with "Ex For A Reason" last month. Summer's twenty-track therapy session is jam-packed with highly relatable musings written by acclaimed songwriter Sean Garrett and inspired by her real-life experiences, such as her recent breakup.

The 25-year-old singer said in a statement to Apple Music that she hopes opening up about her personal experiences on the new album will serve as teachable moments for listeners.

“Take this opportunity to learn from my mistakes,” she shared. “You don’t have to guess if something is love. Love is shown through actions. Stop making excuses for people who don’t show up for you. Don’t ignore the red flags. And don’t think you have to stay somewhere ’cause you can’t find better—you can and you will. Don’t settle for less—you don’t deserve it and neither does your family.

”Listen to tracks like "No Love" featuring SZA, "4th Baby Mama," and "Unloyal" featuring Ari Lennox to laugh, cry, and vibe.
